After tragically losing his mother, 12-year-old Theo is plunged into an abyss of grief. One day, he meets a mysterious wanderer who offers him a seemingly magical object promising to allow him to see his mother again in the spiritual world. Theo accepts, ignoring the dangers. He soon discovers that vengeful spirits covet the object to return to the world of the living.
